Erdogan Hosts Samaras, Greek Business Leaders

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Greek counterpart Antonis Samaras are set to participate in a joint business event on  March 4 in Istanbul that seeks to boost trade between the two countries, the event’s host said, according to the Anatolia News Agency.

Erdogan and Samaras will address the Turkish-Greek Business Forum co-hosted by Turkey’s Foreign Economic Relations Board, or DEIK, and Turkish Exporters’ Assembly at Istanbul’s Ciragan Palace. Samaras will make a high profile appearance at the event with 10 of his cabinet members and a large group of Greek business executive.

Samaras is expected to discuss his government’s plans for the privatization of state-own enterprises and try to lure more foreign investments as well as later talk with Erdogan about settling differences the two countries have over oil and gas exploration in the Aegean.
