A group called “Youth of the East” is calling on Muslims to gather for morning prayer in Hagia Sophia on Saturday, an ANT1 television report said.
With posters plastered in the walls all over Istanbul, the group calls on all Muslims to attend the morning prayer in Hagia Sophia, the symbol of Greek Orthodoxy.
In recent months there have been several Muslim liturgies in the emblematic church that had been turned into a museum for decades. Now the Turkish government wants to turn it into a mosque again.
