According to information released by the Turkish media, the municipality of Istanbul, following Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s plans, keeps on with demolitions around the city.
On Sunday July 7, the Byzantine Well at the Yedikule Castle region was demolished as an additional victim of Erdogan’s policy.
According to the plans that the Municipality of Istanbul has in its possession, around the city’s murals there are farm houses built over 130 years ago and a number of antiquities which will be entirely demolished for a private entertainment park to be constructed.
According to Turkish journalists, the international media was informed about what is happening in the neighboring country, but did not approach the place where the demolitions are taking place because they were afraid.
