Last Sunday, October the 27th a unique photo expo opened its gates to the public. The title of this exhibition is “Athens through my eyes.” The event took place at “And Hotel,” a hotel which is situated in Istanbul. It was a fine evening full of Greece, with a background perfect for the occasion, Hagia Sophia.
The famous Greek dentist Giota Trigoni, through Anna’s Galanou camera, guides and invites the public to see Athens “through her eyes,” concentrating mainly on the capitals beauty. After a successful expo in Athens, the exhibition moved to Istanbul. During the opening of the photo expo, were many famous figures from the Turkish show biz as well as many ship-owners and businessmen, such as Mehmet Dicer and Murat Ducur, Okan Rifat, Kemal Uzun, Gilmaz Iremet, Farouk Hasim to name a few.
The goal of the photo expo “Athens through my eyes” was to show that the city of Athens is of great importance, through city’s simplicity, cultural heritage and beauty. If we take into consideration the positive comments and the detailed reports of the media towards the exhibition, we can say that the goal was achieved.
After Istanbul, the photo expo will travel to Dubai, to Zurich and other cities of Europe, thus more people will have the opportunity to admire the beauty of Athens.
